Datalyze products: the MCP and the Tracking Agent
Datalyze makes two products: the MCP puts our analytics method in your AI tools, and the Tracking Agent checks your tracking on every pull request. One account covers both, and both together cost $125 a month instead of $149.
How do the MCP and the Tracking Agent compare?
| Datalyze MCP | Tracking Agent | |
|---|---|---|
| What it does | Your AI follows Datalyze's method when you ask about your data | Checks each pull request for what it does to your tracking, and fixes it once a person approves |
| Who uses it | Anyone who analyses product data with an AI app | Engineering teams that ship tracking code, and whoever owns the tracking plan |
| Where it runs | In Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or a coding agent | On your GitHub runner, with your own AI model |
| What Datalyze sees | Which workflow step your AI asked for, never your data | That your licence key was used, and when |
| Price | $49 a month | $100 a month |
Both together are $125 a month. If you start with one and add the other mid-month, the days you haven't used on your first plan are credited.
What is the Datalyze MCP?
The Datalyze MCP connects to your AI app through the Model Context Protocol, the open standard Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini use for outside tools. When you ask why a metric moved or what a number is, your AI works through one of Datalyze's eight analysis workflows a step at a time, using your own data connectors for the queries.
It suits teams that already ask an AI about their data and want the answers checked the way an analyst would check them. Read more on the Datalyze MCP page.
What is the Datalyze Tracking Agent?
The Tracking Agent keeps your tracking plan, your code and your analytics data in step. On every pull request it proposes the tracking changes the code needs, a person approves them, and the agent implements and verifies them before a person signs off.
It suits teams whose events break quietly as the product changes. Read more on the Tracking Agent page.
Which Datalyze product do you need?
| If this is your problem | Start with |
|---|---|
| Your AI gives confident answers about your data that nobody checks | The MCP |
| Dashboards go wrong after releases and nobody knows which change did it | The Tracking Agent |
| Both, or you run analytics for several products | Both, for $125 a month |
| You have no tracking plan yet | Our analytics setup service, or the free event tracking plan generator |
How does one Datalyze account cover both products?
You sign in once, with Google or an email and password. Each product's dashboard has a switcher in its header, so you move between them without signing in again, and your account page shows which products are active and your billing.
Keys stay separate. Your MCP key is personal and goes into your own AI app. The Tracking Agent key belongs to your team's workspace and lives in your GitHub secrets, so rotating one never breaks the other.
Questions about Datalyze products
Can I buy one product now and add the other later?
Yes. Adding the other product moves you to the $125 plan straight away, and the unused days of your current plan are taken off what you pay.
How do I cancel?
From the billing portal on your account page. Access runs to the end of the month you've paid for.
Does Datalyze see my data?
No. The MCP runs queries through your own data connectors, and the Tracking Agent runs on your own GitHub runner with your own model. Datalyze sends the method and checks your licence.
Does everyone on my team need an account?
For the Tracking Agent, no: only the person who pays needs one, and reviewers work from the pull request with their GitHub access. The MCP is personal, so each person who connects it uses their own account.
