Analytics audit for Mixpanel, Amplitude & PostHog
Datalyze audits your analytics setup in Mixpanel, Amplitude or PostHog. We check every event, property and user profile against what actually happens in your product, and give you a prioritised list of what to fix first.
From raw data to data you can trust

What a Mixpanel, Amplitude or PostHog audit checks
- 01Events
Duplicate events firing
The same action logged twice inflates counts, funnels and conversion rates. We find every double-fire and where in the code it comes from.
- 02Identity
A single user has multiple profiles
One person split across logged-out, logged-in and cross-device profiles. We check identify and merge calls, so one person counts as one user.
- 03Coverage
An event should fire from 10 places, but only fires from 5
Sign-up exists on the homepage, the pricing page and inside the app, but only some of them are tracked. We map every entry point and flag the missing ones.
- 04Sources
Data not properly synced from sources
CRM, billing, ad and warehouse data that arrives late, partly, or not at all. We compare each source with the tool and find where the rows drop.
- 05Profiles
User profile properties not set up
Plan, company, sign-up date and other traits missing from profiles, so you can't segment users. We list what's missing and where to set it.
- 06Events
Event not triggering
Events in the tracking plan that never reach the tool. We test each one on web and app to see what is actually coming through.
- 07Properties
Properties in an event not triggering
The event fires, but its properties arrive empty, null or in the wrong format. We check every property value, not just the event name.
- 08Timing
Event not triggering at the right moment
A purchase logged when the button is clicked, not when the payment succeeds. We check each event fires at the moment it claims to measure.
- 09Events
Wrong event triggering on a click
A click on one button sends another button's event. We go through the product and match every action to the event it fires.
You get a prioritised list of every issue we find, what it affects, and exactly how to fix it.
What teams say after working with us
Audits we've run
Wellness Coach tracked almost every click, with inconsistent names and properties, so dashboards disagreed and nobody trusted them. We audited every event, cut the noise, and rebuilt the taxonomy around the user journey. The team trusts the numbers again.
Read the case studySol ships every week, and ad-hoc events had piled up across every module. The audit showed where tracking had sprawled. We grouped events into core categories, moved the detail into properties, and cut the load on the frontend.

Book a callAnalytics audit questions
How long does an analytics audit take?
One to two weeks. At the end you get a prioritised list of every issue we found, what it affects and how to fix it.
How much does an analytics audit cost?
The audit is a one-time project, with no retainer. The price depends on how many platforms you track (web, iOS, Android, server) and how many events you send, so we scope it on the first call.
What do you need from us for an audit?
Access to your Mixpanel, Amplitude or PostHog project and a login to your product, so we can trigger each event ourselves. Codebase access helps us find where a broken event comes from, but it is optional.
Which analytics tools do you audit?
Mixpanel, Amplitude and PostHog, plus the sources that feed them: GA4, Segment, your CRM, billing and ad tools, and warehouses like BigQuery and Snowflake.
Do you fix the issues, or only find them?
Either. The fix list is detailed enough for your developers to work through on their own, or we can fix the issues ourselves as a follow-on project.
